POSSIBLE AND REAL POWERFLOWS IN CONNECTED DIFFERENTIAL GEAR DRIVES WITH η0<ipq<1/η0 INNER RATIO
Dr. Ferenc Apró, Levente Czégé
Abstract: It’s well known [1], that the powerflow of two degree of freedom three base element type
planetary drives (differentials) can be of two kinds in case of given properties of moving. So two kinematic
attributes, for example ipq inner ratio and kpr kinematic ratio determine the two possible powerflows
unambiguously. From the two degree of freedom three base element type planetary drives we can assemble simple one degree of freedom connected planetary drives by connection and fixation of base elements, in which one of the three base element type planetary drives works as a differential drive. In case of ipq<η0 and ipq>1/η0 inner ratios the powerflow of the one degree of freedom connected drive is determined by the powerflow of the differential drive (for a given structure). Whereas in case of η0<ipq<1/η0 differential inner ratios some connected drives theoretically can work with two different powerflows – when input and output base elements are constant. This paper shows the problem by an example, and looks for the answer, whether which of the two theoretically possible powerflows will be realised in the given planetary gear drive.

Mihai Bănică, Dipl. Eng., Lecturer
Abstract: The prediction of the spur gear’s dynamic behavior and gear noise has always been a major concern in gear design. An interesting solution is the computer simulation of the mesh process using mathematical models to approximate the real process. The work proposes to analyze some aspects of the theoretical dynamic behavior of the spur gearing with involute profile using a program made-up in Matlab6 that allows the theoretical calculation of the dynamic factor.

STANDARD WORK AND STANDARD PROCESSES FOR LEAN MANUFACTURING
Dipl.-Ing. Peter Debnár
Abstract: Any company that is a leader in today’s marketplace understands the importance of basic standards – rules for what is acceptable and what is not – in practices, processes, product quality, and so on. Standard work characterizes such an organization, in both its management and manufacturing activities. Moreover, the company practices standardization – it has processes for creating standards and standard work, for communicating them clearly, for maintaining and adhering to them, and for encouraging their continual examination and improvement. In manufacturing operations, standard work is a key element in eliminating process waste and excess inventory and in achieving balanced and synchronous production.

REAL VIRTUALITY IN PRODUCTION ENGINERING
Assoc. Prof. Robert Debnar,
Abstract: 3D planning gradually becomes the standard not only at the universities or research institutes, but in companies too. By the tools of the virtual reality new factories are planned, machines, as well as conveyors,
transport systems, energy wiring etc., are located. A problem comes, when already existing construction is not 3D digitized, but only in 2D. Then often the 2D is transformed into 3D, which is not accurate. For this reason this article describes the new technology for digitizing of already existing constructions.

POSSIBLE MECHANISMS FOR ROLLING BEARINGS GREASES LUBRICATING FILMS GENERATION AND DETERIORATION
Flavian Farcas, Mihai Tiron, Aurica Farcas
Abstract: Basically, rolling bearings greases are consisting of two main components: a lubricating liquid,
generally oil, and a thickening agent. The most used lubricants of this type in rolling contacts lubrication are
mineral oil and Lithium soaps based, their properties being improved by adding the appropriate additives for
specific technical applications. Here it can be highlighted their particular constitutive aspect given by the soap three-dimensional network (consisting of twisted or flatted fibres) that contains the base oil. Both fibres
elementary dimensions and the soap structural uniformity are different from a manufacturer to other being
influenced by the processing technology, by the raw materials provenience or by the thickener quantity or the presence of additives.
Lubricating greases behaviour is dependant on their initial structure and also by their rheology under
the external loads influence, all this aspects having a strong influence on greases service life.
The paper presents a possible mechanism for greases lubricating film generation and failure, a
hierarchy for their deterioration criteria being also proposed.

LUBRICANT FILM THICKNESS VARIATION INSIDE THE MESHING AREA FOR DOUBLE ENVELOPING WORM GEAR
Lect. Cristian FEDORCIUC – ONIŞA, Ph.D.
Abstract: Double enveloping worm gear is well known for its high load carrying capacity that is due
mainly to its double instantaneous contact lines, which enclose a “pocket” of lubricant. Because of the globoid
shape of the worm, the meshing area is not a planar shape, featuring different contact conditions from engaging to exit. Accordingly, the lubricant film thickness is expected to vary between first and last contact line, which may result in different lubrication regimes for the same gear, with obvious repercussions for carrying capacity and not least wear. The same variation is expected alongside the contact line itself, too.
This paper is aiming to analysing these two kinds of variations by involving the thermo-elasto-
hydrodynamic (TEHD) equations in determination of lubricant film thickness. A useful and innovative method
for solving these equations, which form a highly non – linear system, is also presented.

DETERMINATION OF PRINCIPAL ROUGHNESS PARAMETERS BASED ON FRACTAL – STATISTIC DUAL THEORY
Lect. Cristian FEDORCIUC – ONIŞA, Ph.D.
Abstract: In case of limit or dry lubrication of a tribo-couple it is necessary to consider the real surface

roughness have to be known.
This paper deals with the establishing of the principals parameters of roughness by aid of a relatively
new mathematical method, the fractals one, as well as of the statistically one. It has the advantage of requiring practical accessible roughness parameters for calculations, as Ra or Ry.

UTILIZATION OF SOME COMPUTER ASSISTED TECHNIQUES IN GENERATING AND STUDY OF THE HYPOCYCLOIDAL FLANKS OF THE SPUR GEAR TEETH STRESS
Prof. dr. ing. Adrian GHIONEA, Asist. drd. ing. Dorel ANANIA, Asist. drd. ing. Ionut GHIONEA
Abstract: The curved flanks for the involute tooth gear are generated with hypocycloidal line. The obtained
tooth is crowning that means a controlled pitch spot. The paper deals with the spur gear design on the basis of parametric equations of the tooth profile and flank lines established using the kinematics generation method. The profile and flank lines are represented in a CAD environment, the profile is extruded along the flanks lines and the tooth generated as 3D object. Some elements of stress analysis on the tooth root are presented in condition in which some elements of the generating rack profile are modified (pressure angle, fillet on the tooth root, flank line, gear material and heat treatment) for curved teeth with hypocycloidal flanks. Spur gear tooth modelling enables the analysis of the teeth with symmetrical and asymmetrical involute teeth, and also with rectilinear or curved flanks in order to establish the tooth bending stiffness.

INVESTIGATION OF A FLAT WHEEL HARMONIC DRIVE
Dr. István Házkötő, Associate Prof.; Robert Krisch, Ph.D. student
Abstract: A flat-wheel harmonic drive has been constructed at the BUTE. The functions of the principal
members of the drive are similar to the functions of a traditional harmonic drive, but the feature of the flexible and the solid wheels are diffrerent. The rotable wave generator deforms continuously different portions of an annular face gear on the flexible member into engagement with teeth on an annular face gear on the solid member. The number of teeth of the face gears are different. For the reason of examination of the drive a testing desk has been made, where the number of the connected teeth and the tangential component of the acting force on them in mesh could be indicated. The number of teeth in mesh depends on the momentof load, so investigations were launched at different levels of torques.

INFLUENCE OF LUBRICANTS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF GEARS
M. Kozma BUTE
Abstract: The load carrying capacity, life span and reliability of gears enormously depends on the
effectiveness of lubrication. Choosing suitable lubricants and lubrication technology the
optimal lubrication state can be achieved ensuring the longest life span and higher
operational reliability of gears. In practice generally elastohydrodynamic lubrication is
preferred by spur gears where the viscosity and pressure-viscosity coefficient of lubricants
play an important role to reach the necessary oil film thickness between the gear teeth to
ensure the best performance.
With increasing the oil viscosity and the pressure-viscosity coefficient the oil film thickness
and the reliability of operation would be higher, but also the friction loss and the temperature
of operation will increase. So at choosing the viscosity of lubricants it is necessary to take
into consideration the contradictory requirements of the low friction and thick oil film.

APPLICATION OF MULTIAXIAL FATIGUE ANALYSIS TO DAMAGE PREDICTION OF TRANSPORT MACHINERY
Milan SÁGA
Abstract: The paper proposes the application of the optimising procedure to multiaxial rainflow analyse of non-proportional loading of randomly excited structures. Cumulative damage is calculated by Corten-Dolan
hypothesis. Applied methods are implemented to finite element solver FEM_MRFA created in MATLAB. The
numerical application and short comparison is presented by finite element analyse of the randomly oscillated frame structure of the track maintenance machine DELTA.

ANALYSES OF ACCURACY OF GEAR GRINDING
Bohdan D. STOROZH, Roman T. KARPYK, Yaroslav B. STOROZH
Abstract: The paper deals with the ways of improving gear grinding operations. The technologic factors
affecting the radial runout of tooth surfaces at grinding basic holes of gears are investigated. The
analytical relations for estimation of a degree of influence of these factors are received. The
dominant factors determining non-uniformity of the tooth surface grinding allowance are found out
and the ways for its decreasing are discussed.

STRAIN DISTRIBUTION AFTER METAL SPINNING OPERATIONS
Jana ŠUGÁROVÁ, Peter ŠUGÁR
Abstract: The paper brings the results of strain distribution investigation throughout the part after metal spinning operation by the circle grid analysis method. The results of realized experimental works showed up the increasing of deformation capacity of the sheet metals, compared with the results obtained from the uniaxial, monotonic tensil tests. The reasons of the found out properties of the tested materials are discused in the paper.

ANALYZE OF THE PRINCIPALS PARAMETERS TO THE DISC CUTTER
VASILE ŢIPLEA
Abstract: Specialized paper present the geometry of the pinion cutter as a selfstanding tool. Other authors simplify the approach to the pinion cutter arguing that: „Although all cutting tools namely, cutter, drill, drift, broach, file or mill, have completely different shapes, they still have common parts”.

ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES-FUNCTIONING TEMPERATURE CORRELATIONS FOR ROLLING BEARINGS GREASES UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE ELECTRIC FIELDS
Mihai Tiron, Mihai Gafitanu, Flavian Farcas, Marius Alexandrescu
Abstract: The recent tendencies in considering the electrical motor drives as an alternative ecological power
source determined new researches in order to improve their components performances, among them being the rotors rolling bearings. Because of the specific functioning conditions (the presence of the electric/magnetic fields) of their rolling bearings, particular deterioration mechanisms ar e developed and it was concluded that their service life is strongly dependent on lubricating greases behaviour. This is the reason for which researches in lubricating greases field were ran and they highlighted that their resistivity increases with time under the influence of the electrical fields. Unfortunately the rolling bearings parameters (i.e. temperature) were not taken into account so it was considered justified to develop a researching prog ramme that has as main aim to elaborate a greases deterioration model considering the influence of the electrical fields. The paper presents the first step of this research and it is focused on bearings temperature influence on greases main properties that will be taken into account in establishing the lubricants deterioration model in this specific running conditions.

Prof. PhD. Eng. D.h.c. WIECZOROWSKI Kazimierz, PhD. Eng. SIECLA Roman, Prof. DSc. PhD. Eng. LEGUTKO Stanislaw
Abstract: The aim of the paper is to point out the efficiency limitations that have been caused by technological process properties in gear shaping. The gear shaper cutter, hitting the face of the gear, creates the vibrations. These vibrations can be limited or intensified. The place the vibrations occur as well as the method of their limitation, have bee presented in the paper.
